It all started in 2020 on a construction site in South San Francisco, where we met while working on a project in Oyster Point. We were both living in San Francisco at the time, but neither of us expected that a job would lead us to a marriage!

We started dating during the early days of COVID—when the world slowed down and time together became more meaningful. JJ taught Katie how to golf (with varying levels of success), and we spent weekends chasing outdoor adventures: exploring wineries, hiking through Yosemite, skiing (for Katie) and snowboarding (for JJ) in Tahoe, and taking multiple trips to Mexico—including scuba diving (or more accurately, scuba floating for Katie) in a cenote alongside a curious manatee.

At home, we embraced slower moments: cooking cozy meals, painting along with Bob Ross, and laughing about being on the same conference calls from separate rooms in the apartment.

Since then, we've continued exploring together with unforgettable trips to Fiji and Hawaii and have shared in the joy of welcoming our two adorable nephews - and a niece on the way!

Fast forward a few years, and JJ planned to propose on the top of Half Dome—but Katie somehow guessed his plan, forcing him to pivot. Instead, JJ popped the question on Christmas Eve 2024, making for the perfect surprise alongside JJ's family.

We’re now happily living in Pleasant Hill, and we’re so excited to begin the next chapter surrounded by our favorite people!
