Here's everything you need to know about getting to Nakoma.

Reno is the closest and the most convenient option for our guests. We recommend renting a car in Reno, as there are no rideshare services available in the area.
DRIVING TO NAKOMA
From Reno

Nakoma Resort is located in Clio, CA, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The drive from Reno is scenic and takes approximately one hour.

DRIVING TO NAKOMA
From SF Bay Area
​
Nakoma Resort is located approximately 45 minutes North of Truckee, CA. The 89 includes scenic, mountainous stretches with some winding and unlit sections. We recommend arriving during daylight hours when possible and allowing extra time to enjoy the drive.

QUESTIONS

When should we plan to arrive?
We recommend arriving by Friday afternoon to comfortably settle in and join us for the welcome party. Guests are also welcome to arrive earlier to enjoy the surrounding area and take part in additional weekend events. Please see the PLANNED ACTIVITIES page for more information.
Will weather impact travel in June?
June weather is typically mild and clear in the Sierra Nevadas. Guests should still plan for mountain driving conditions and cooler evenings.​
